About Tree of Hope

Tree of Hope is a small, Children’s Healthcare Charity, supporting families who have a child/children with life limiting conditions and disabilities, access healthcare and equipment which is not available for free via the UK Health Services (NHS).

With a funding gap of over £1.5 billion across children’s healthcare, Tree of Hope helps bridge that funding gap by helping families access what they need to help their children thrive.

About this role

We are looking for friendly and enthusiastic volunteers to support the Fundraising Team with our fundraising activities.

Each year the Fundraising Team are set an income target and aim to achieve this by carrying out various fundraising activities to support the work we do.  Without the support of our amazing supporters and volunteers the Team would not be able to achieve this target and enable our Family Support Team to continue their much-needed work with the families we support

Key task of a Collection Pot Volunteer

Tasks with the Fundraising Team can be wide and varied.  Typical roles can include one or many of the following:

  • Prepare Collection Pots for distribution – ensure labels and security seals are in place and collection pots are clean and presentable.
  • Approach business by phone, email and in person to enquire if they are happy to take a collection pot for us.  This could include local business and retail.
  • Record all collection pot sites on our fundraising database.
  • Schedule collections on a regular basis
  • Produce thank you letters, cards and certificates for those business returning their pots once income is banked.
  • Pro-actively seek new opportunities to raise awareness and funds for Tree of Hope
