Tree of Hope is a children’s healthcare charity, supporting families who have a child/children with life limiting conditions and disabilities, access healthcare and equipment which is not available for free via the NHS.

With a funding gap of over £1.5 billion across children’s healthcare, Tree of Hope helps bridge that funding gap by helping families access what they need to help their children thrive.

About this role

We are looking for friendly and enthusiastic volunteers to support the Fundraising Team with our fundraising activities.

Each year the Fundraising Team are set an income target and aim to achieve this by carrying out various fundraising activities to support the work we do.  Without the support of our amazing supporters and volunteers the Team would not be able to achieve this target and enable our Family Support Team to continue their much-needed work with the families we support

 

Key task of a Fundraising Volunteer

Tasks with the Fundraising Team can be wide and varied.  Typical roles can include one or many of the following:

  • With support from the Fundraising Team and other Fundraising Volunteers, help plan and deliver events and activities to raise funds and awareness of Tree of Hope.
  • Support the Fundraising Team with events they are organising – your role may vary for each event; you could be greeting and registering participants, cheering on participants at challenge events, selling raffle tickets, running a fundraising stall, raffle or tombola, or serving refreshments for example.
  • Help with admin – processing information on our fundraising database, photocopying, filing, writing thank you letters, requesting raffle prizes from local businesses.
  • Publicising fundraising events and activities within the local community
  • Support collections and Community Fundraising events
  • Give talks and presentations to local community groups – full training will be given for this role.
  • Pro-actively seek new opportunities to raise awareness and funds for Tree of Hope.
