Oliver Cliff

Oliver is 9 years old and has Conradi-Hünermann-Happle Syndrome. This syndrome is usually fatal in boys and Oliver is one around 5 known boys in the world to survive with the condition. Oliver’s 20 week ultrasound scan showed that his brain might not be forming properly and subsequent scans and MRI’s have shown Oliver to have multiple brain abnormalities. As a result, Oliver has profound learning and developmental delays, epilepsy, visual impairment, eating and swallowing difficulties. He was also born with a collodion membrane and ichthyosis, patella, femur and hip abnormalities and has had repeated chest infections and pneumonia. 

Oliver has always been a happy, cheeky boy despite all the trials he has been through. He has weekly physiotherapy sessions with Mini Wonders Children’s Physiotherapy and has shown amazing progress with his head and trunk control since starting here. No NHS funding is available to help with these sessions so we have to fund these ourselves which costs around £4000 a year! In order to continue these physiotherapy sessions we need your help and kind donations!

7.5% of all donations to Tree of Hope in relation to this appeal will be allocated to the general charitable purposes of Tree of Hope to cover our core operating costs.
