Help Carlisle boy with cerebral palsy achieve his dream of playing at the Eithad stadium
16 Apr 2025
The family of a six-year-old Carlisle boy is appealing for help to raise £12,000 for intensive Constraint-Induced Movement Therapy (CIMT).
Harry's need for intensive therapies
Harry Calvert, aged 6, wears splints on his right arm and right leg and finds it increasingly frustrating as he gets older.
Mum Kim Jose, 36, a counter assistant at a butcher’s shop said: ‘Harry can’t use his right hand at all and just wants to be able to do things that other people take for granted.
‘He loves computer games but can’t operate them properly, we don’t even really know if he’s right or left-handed as he can’t use that hand at all.
Dreams for the future
‘His ultimate aims are to drive a rainbow Ferrari and play football at the Eithad Stadium with his hero Erling Haaland, but he’d dearly love to simply be able to use his limbs in the same way as his friends first.’
Plans for Fundraising
The CIMT Centre says he’s the ideal candidate for this kind of therapy and it’s likely to make a huge difference to him. We’re hoping to get him in at the end of June but we have a lot of money to raise first.’
The family has also raised funds auctioning a Carlisle United signed ball and Kim is planning to take on a tandem skydive.
Kim added: ‘Every little helps – we’re grateful for every penny received.
Tree of Hope's Support
