Can you support us?

Donate to Tree of Hope today so that we can continue to help children

Tree of Hope supports parents with seriously ill and disabled children to get the medical care and assistance they need. We do this by providing a fundraising platform and all-around support that is necessary to help families reach their target – whether it be £1000, £10,000 or £100,000 Tree of Hope are with families all the way.

Many families fundraise for things like therapy, operations and vital equipment but we also support families in fundraising for house adaptions that will transform the lives of their child, and in most cases, the rest of the family too.

We can support you to make vital adaptations that will enable your child to be more independent, be part of family time, and allow them to develop and be safe in the home. Contact Georgie or Lee in our Family Support Team on 01892 535525 to discuss how we can help you.

Disability Grants

Firstly, you may be eligible for Disability Facilities Grant via your local council, which allows you to apply for funding to your home whether you are a tenant or a homeowner (thought must have intentions to live the property for the length of the grant which is currently five years).

With the Disability Facilities Grant You could apply for…

  • Widening doors and installing ramps
  • Improving access to rooms and facilities like stairlifts and a downstairs bathroom
  • Provide eating systems that is suitable for your needs
  • Adapt heat and light controls so that they are easier to use.

Please head here to find out more information about DFG.

If like many you are not eligible or have not been successful in your DFG application and have also been unsuccessful in appealing the decision, Tree of Hope can support you in your campaign for home adaptations if signed off by a medical professional as beneficial to your child (this could be a physiotherapist, consultant or occupational therapist).

What home adaptations can I fundraise for?

So far we have helped families install upstairs and downstairs bathrooms, rooms for physiotherapy, hoists, sensory rooms, improvements to ramps, driveways and access to houses plus much more.
