Supporting Sophie after hip reconstruction surgery
We are fundraising for therapies.
After a difficult pregnancy and birth, Sophie was born eight weeks early and suffered a severe brain injury called Periventricular Leukomalacia (PVL). Sophie's brain injury has led to a diagnosis of Grade 4/5 Cerebral Palsy in all her limbs.
This spring, Sophie is having a staged double hip reconstruction surgery, followed by 4 months in a Spica Cast.
We are fundraising to provide her with some intensive physiotherapy sessions during the summer holidays to aid her recovery and to gain strength in her legs and hips again.
7.5% of all donations to Tree of Hope in relation to this appeal will be allocated to the general charitable purposes of Tree of Hope to cover our core operating costs.
If we raise insufficient funds, or surplus funds, they will be used, if appropriate, to fund support for our child’s needs in accordance with Tree of Hope’s charitable objectives. If, in those circumstances, we are unable to use all or part of the funds for the benefit of our child, any funds that cannot be used will be transferred to be used for the general charitable purposes of Tree of Hope.
