Help us give Jack greater safety and independence

We are raising £4,242 for Jack’s specialist L2 Delta All-Terrain Buggy

Meet Jack, our bright, determined and incredibly special boy who has spent his life defying the odds.

Jack has a severe developmental delay and severe learning disability. He is also non-verbal and has significant postural and physical needs. Jack didn’t learn to walk until he was six and a half, but he never gives up and his strength and determination inspire everyone who knows him.

Jack loves being outdoors, but safely accessing uneven ground is becoming increasingly difficult. Recently, his current wheelchair caught on uneven ground and tipped forwards with him still in it. Thankfully, he wasn’t seriously injured, but it was a terrifying experience for Jack and for our family.

We have been advised that an L2 Delta All-Terrain Buggy, with specialist supportive seating and accessories, would provide Jack with a much safer and more suitable way to enjoy the outdoors.

The buggy and equipment cost £4,242, and we are fundraising to help Jack get the equipment he needs.

The Delta would allow Jack to enjoy parks, grass, woodland paths and other outdoor spaces that are currently difficult and unsafe for him to access.

The beach is especially important to Jack. He absolutely loves the sea and sand, but getting him safely onto soft sand in his current wheelchair is extremely difficult. We would love to be able to take him closer to the sea and let him enjoy the sand with his family. If possible, we would also like to include beach wheels.

We are a low-income family and cannot comfortably afford this specialist equipment ourselves.

Every donation, no matter how small, will help us give Jack greater safety, independence and the opportunity to enjoy places that other children can access without barriers.

Thank you so much for supporting Jack. Every donation and share means the world to our family. ❤️

7.5% of all donations to Tree of Hope in relation to this appeal will be allocated to the general charitable purposes of Tree of Hope to cover our core operating costs.

If we raise insufficient funds, or surplus funds, they will be used, if appropriate, to fund support for our child’s needs in accordance with Tree of Hope’s charitable objectives. If, in those circumstances, we are unable to use all or part of the funds for the benefit of our child, any funds that cannot be used will be transferred to be used for the general charitable purposes of Tree of Hope.
