Fundraising for Lourenco

Hello, my name is Jessica and I’m reaching out as a parent who deeply loves and believes in my son, Lourenco. He was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder at 3 years old and while he brings so much light, joy, and curiosity into our lives, he also faces daily challenges that require specialised therapies to help him reach his full potential. Lourenco also has problem with his vision, and gastritis and is not yet toilet trained due to his gastritis affecting his bowels twice a month. He also has a very restricted diet due to his sensory needs.

Lourenco struggles with communication and sensory sensitivity and with specialised therapies he will be able to thrive and develop. Unfortunately all of therapies that I want my son to do to help him thrive is a long list. on the NHS so will have to go private to get these therapies that are beneficial for him. I have had a look at all the therapies that he needs to have done if privately is to much for me to handle alone as they are expensive. Some of the therapies that I wanted him to do are speech & language, occupational therapy, feeding therapy, physical therapy and play based therapy. These are the therapies that I was told that he has to have on going to support him.

We’re asking for your help to make sure Lourenco gets the care, tools, and opportunities he deserves.

Fundraising funds will go to his therapies - speech & language, occupational therapy, physical therapy, feeding therapy and play based therapy. Also the room he has now is not sensory adapted for his needs and to get all the equipment needed to adapt his room to a sensory room is very expensive to get it all alone.

Every contribution — no matter how small — will go toward his therapy sessions, and adaptive sensory room that will help him grow more confident and independent.

7.5% of all donations to Tree of Hope in relation to this appeal will be allocated to the general charitable purposes of Tree of Hope to cover our core operating costs.

If we raise insufficient funds, or surplus funds, they will be used, if appropriate, to fund support for our child’s needs in accordance with Tree of Hope’s charitable objectives. If, in those circumstances, we are unable to use all or part of the funds for the benefit of our child, any funds that cannot be used will be transferred to be used for the general charitable purposes of Tree of Hope.
