Support Us: Take on Tree of Hope's Keepie Uppie Fundraising Challenge to Celebrate the Women's Euros 2025
02 Jul 2025
The women’s Euros are just about to kick off, and we wanted to celebrate the occasion and join the excitement by launching our very own Fundraising Challenge.
Tree of Hope’s fundraising challenge is simple: it involves attempting to do as many keepie uppies as you possibly can.
Get creative: balloon, soft toy & golf ball keepie‑uppies
Now, you can get as creative here as you wish! You can go with the traditional method with a football, but think outside the box too, as the more creative the better. Your little ones can try a balloon keepie uppie challenge, the dog might be a pro at returning it’s bouncy ball, or maybe you’re a golfer and you want to attempt a keepie uppie with your golf ball and clubs, you can choose!
If you prefer to do the challenge sitting down, why not try as many bounces of the ball on your head as you can? Just be sure to use something soft e.g. a scrunched-up piece of paper or a soft toy to avoid giving yourself a headache in the process!
You don’t have to be a whizz at football, or to even have attempted anything like this before, because, let’s be honest, we all prefer the funnier videos or the outtakes from some of your more questionable attempts!
Get involved: Join the Keepie Uppie Challenge to celebrate the Women’s Euros
- Record yourself (or get someone to record for you) doing as many keepie uppies as possible.
- Once you’ve given it a good go, Text EUROS to 70450 to donate £5
- Add your attempt at the Tree of Hope Keepie Uppie Challenge to your social media pages (stories or on your grid) and tag your best friends. Nominate your friends to take part in this epic social media viral challenge too
- Don’t forget to encourage your friends to send a text donation to help support Disabled children in the UK. Feel free to use the below caption to explain the challenge if that’s easier!
“To celebrate the Women’s Euros, I am taking on the Tree of Hope Keepie Uppie Challenge to try and do as many keepie uppies as possible! I’ve texted EUROS to 70450 to donate £5 to Tree of Hope, and now I nominate *insert names here* to do the same! Good Luck!”
Why your participation matters: Our mission in closing a £2.1 billion funding gap
Did you know that there is currently a funding gap of £2.1 billion in disabled children’s health and social care, meaning that many seriously ill or disabled children across the UK are unable to access life-changing and sometimes life-saving medical treatment, equipment, therapies or operations, which are not available through the NHS or public services.
There has also been a significant rise in the proportion of children reporting disabilities, from 6% in 2011/2012, to 11% in 2021/22. This trend combined with a persistent cost-of-living crisis and overstretched NHS and local services clearly shows a growing need and desire for families to take funding for their child’s medical needs into their own hands, which is where we step in.
Tree of Hope are a children's charity supporting families to secure funding, resources and support for seriously ill and disabled children and young people. We operate entirely on donations to allow us to run our services, which includes offering families charitable benefits (such as Gift Aid), advice and regular check-ins, a detailed fundraising action plan and emotional support along the way, to help them reach fundraising goals more quickly.
Your participation in our Women's Euros Keepie Uppie Challenge helps Tree of Hope to raise much needed funds to keep our services up and running, meaning we can further support families who need our help. However, your participation in the Keepie Uppie Fundraising challenge also helps us to raise awareness of our services, to ensure that families with seriously ill and disabled children are aware of our support and can access our help as and when they need it.
So, GOOD LUCK and don’t forget to tag us in your challenge!
