Pedal with Purpose this Bike Week!
It’s Bike Week, from 10th to 16th June and Tree of Hope is inviting you to swap four wheels for two and get pedalling to support our mission. We’re encouraging individuals, workplaces, and communities to take part in a cycling challenge to help raise awareness and vital funds for services to help children with disabilities who need access to life-changing care and to help us #BridgeTheGap in disability funding so that children and young people get access to the care they need.
Whether you're commuting, exploring, or spinning indoors, there's a way for everyone to get involved:
Ditch the car and cycle to work – Not only is it great for your health and the planet, but every mile can help us bridge the funding gap in disabled children's services. Why not get colleagues involved too?
Make the most of the weather – Use this week as a chance to get outdoors and discover your local area on two wheels. Set yourself a personal challenge or a family goal.
Take on a distance challenge – How many kilometres can you clock up in a week? Set your target, track your progress, and get sponsored to go the distance!
Cycle to School Challenge - Encourage students, teachers, and parents to ditch the car and cycle (or scoot!) to school every day during Bike Week. Use Bike Week as a theme across subjects – from learning about road safety and the environment to measuring distances biked in maths. This adds educational value to the fun!
No bike? No problem! – Join in with an indoor bike challenge at home or the gym. Spin classes or stationary bikes count too – it’s all about movement for a meaningful cause.
Every pedal push brings us one step closer to helping more children and families access the support they desperately need. So hop on your bike, feel the wind in your hair, and ride in aid of Tree of Hope.
Ready to take on the challenge? Let’s get cycling!
