Our team

Becky is committed to empowering children and young people and has been instrumental in driving operational excellence as well as overseeing and delivering high profile events across the UK in her previous roles.

Becky's role is to lead the charity and support the senior management team in setting strategies so the charity can continue to grow and be here for more and more families. 

Emma joined Tree of Hope in January 2016 and has extensive experience in Trust and Foundation fundraising and has worked in the voluntary sector for over 17 years. Emma works to develop relationships with funders and manages all applications to raise funds for Tree of Hope general funds to help runs our vital support services. 

Caroline joined Tree of Hope in November 2019 and feels passionate about supporting families who need our help. Caroline helps with all new and existing enquiries from families and health care professionals, gives advice on managing a child’s fundraising campaign, and is often the first port of call for our beneficiaries. As a parent herself, Caroline gains a great amount of pleasure in seeing families reach their targets and achieve their goals.

Steph joined Tree of Hope in November 2020. Steph designs and develops the charity’s marketing materials across all aspects of the charity and works with our new and existing families, offering fundraising advice and inspiration as well as offering marketing and social media support to help raise campaign awareness to families, help them get the most out of their fundraising experiences with a marketing focus.  Steph loves being able make a real difference by making life that little bit easier for families along their fundraising journey. 

Dave joined Tree of Hope in April 2016 and oversees all the financial and IT functions of the charity, audits and investments.  

Georgie joined Tree of Hope in July 2016. Georgie is responsible for leading and developing Tree of Hope's brand awareness, marketing, social media, website and PR activities for the charity and the families we support. Georgie also works with hospitals, suppliers and partner organisations and charities to develop relationships and leads the Family Support team and all activities involved to ensure families feel as supported as possible throughout their Tree of Hope fundraising journey.

Oliver joined Tree of Hope in December 2019 and manages the day-to-day running of the charity’s finances and ensures the families accounts are managed efficiently. He manages relationships with suppliers and ensures efficient management of VAT & HMRC processes as well as the charity’s facilities. 

Karen joined Tree of Hope in August 2019 and has been working in the voluntary sector for over 15 years and has an extensive background in Fundraising including community, corporate, events and trust and foundations. Karen leads and organises all of the charity's internal fundraising events that help fund our services and works with all of our community and corporate supporters. 

Katie is our first Family Support Officer based in the North of England, who joined Tree of Hope in March 2022. Working remotely, Katie is helping us to spread our wings further afield and build on our connections across the North and Scotland and helps new and existing families to navigate their fundraising journeys and help them achieve their goals.

Oakley is Tree of Hope's mascot who comes to all of our events with us and loves to meet our current and potential families, supporters and donors! Oakley joined us in 2023 and has had a very busy year attending various exhibitions, awards ceremonies, fundraising events, and has even been to visit a lot of our supporters!

Catherine is a Sunday Times best selling author and is a freelance journalist, helping Tree of Hope families and supporters with their PR needs, either for fundraising events, or general fundraising goals. Catherine works alongside Tree of Hope to help gain news coverage for our families in newspapers, radio and on television

Beth became a trustee for Tree of Hope in 2021. Beth is a consultant to trustees of large UK pension schemes and brings her experience of working with trustee boards to the Tree of Hope team. She attends the Fundraising and Marketing Committee and over the past few years has taken part in various fundraising initiatives herself (including challenging herself to half marathon runs, despite never having run before…)

Charlotte joined the Board in September 2017 and is Head of Marketing and Business Development for a large regional law firm. Charlotte attends our Fundraising and Marketing Committee.

Rob joined the Board in October 2016 and is Chair of our Finance Committee. Rob and is retired from a career in asset management with responsibility for 10 country operations with multi faceted operational, marketing, HR, key stakeholder and PR developments. 

Duncan has been a trustee for Tree of Hope since 2015. Now retired, Duncan has many years experience working with both small and large insurance companies, both in the UK and abroad. At work, he developed a passion for fairness and treating people properly - sentiments he sees every day at Tree of Hope. As well as a trustee of 2 charities, he spends time working as a wildlife rescue volunteer.

Alexandra of Noble & Associates, is an Independent Consultant in the Financial Services sector, operating both in the UK and Internationally. She is particularly interested in medical and children’s issues, currently acting as an advisor to the Royal College of Nursing. Alexandra has been extensively involved with charities for many years and has worked previously at the Charity Employees Benevolent Fund.

Laura became a trustee for Tree of Hope in 2021 but has been a member of the Tree of Hope Medical Committee since 2018. Laura is a Lecturer in Psychology based at the Queen Mary University of London. She conducts research into cognition and mental health and works with people with different neurological conditions.

Sean has always had a great interest and passion for charitable organisations, helping make a positive impact on the lives of others and has taken part in a large variety of fundraising initiatives from the age of 23, when he joined the Canterbury round table. Since then, Sean has immersed himself in charity and has taken on a large variety of voluntary event organising and media roles, inspiring others to do good for great local causes. Sean founded The MED Club in November 1998 with 10 friends and to date they have raised over £150,000 for charitable organisations.
