Essa A.

Imagine not being able to express your basic needs, your feelings, your frustrations and your wants. This leads to severe outburst, tantrums and physical stress. Or not to be able to walk outside without guidance as crossing the street and running away is still a struggle. And now imagine hearing that your child might need care 24 hours.

At the age of 18 months, we noticed a delay and took
measurements by approaching Paediatricians, Speech and Language therapists and
looking into so many options for a child with extra needs as early intervention has been proven to make a significant difference in a child’s future despite a delay. Fast forward at the age of 3 we have not been able to work on many skills as the wailing list is long for getting therapies and it might take another  2 years before he is seen again. This will lead to even more delays, which is heartwrenching.  Therefore, we are looking into ABA that would help him tremendously with closing the age gap between him and his peers and give him the skills he needs for be coming independent.

ABA is supported by many studies and researches as the number one therapy for children with extra needs. It is focused on an individual’s growth and progress, keeping in mind how to make the child become independent in the future and increase his quality of life by being able to work and attend mainstream school. What may seem like normal goals for one family, might seem an impossible task to achieve for another. We hope Essa will be able to express his feelings, be more aware, can live independently and just enjoys life in the future. ABA comes with an expense, however, this is needed to achieve all the above. To give him an head start
