Ryan Mckenna - plagiocephally in the severe category.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My name is Ryan, and I am 8 months old. Just recently I have been diagnosed with plagiocephally in the severe category, and require helmet therapy at a cost of just over £2000 (the NHS do not fund treatment for children with plagiocephally) A very kind charity called tree of hope has agreed to fund £950 of the cost of my treatment, which leaves a shortfall of over £1000. If I don't start treatment soon, the 4 plates of my skull will soon fuse together meaning helmet therapy will not be an option. As I grow, my misshapen skull will start putting pressure on my nerve endings and brain, which could lead to eyesight problems, learning difficulties, and more, and as I grow bigger, a more misshapen head and disfigured face as it becomes more apparent (already my left eye has moved slightly lower than my right) I have an appointment in Leeds on Friday the 27th of June to see a company called technology in motion (also known as timband) but after this appointment I will not be able to have the much needed helmet moulded until my mum and friends have raised the rest of the treatment money of £1100. Please help me and donate as much you can. All my love, baby Ryan x
