Paul's Yorkshire Warrior and Driffield Triathlon for Alex Craven Fund
I will be doing the Yorkshire Warrior on the 18th April and Driffield Triathlon on 17th May to help raise funds for Alex Craven Fund.
Alex is 3 year old little boy with Cerebral Palsy. He is unable to stand or walk and struggles with the everyday things most children take for granted.
For the last few years Alex has been receiving a relatively new Therapy called ABR Therapy (advanced biomechanical rehabilitation). It involves gentle excersises performed by mum and dad for up to 4 hours per day specifically for Alex to strengthen the musculoskeletal structure of the body.
So far Alex has made massive improvements and is now able to sit unaided, kneel up to play and more recently learnt to crawl.
Unfortunately this Therapy is not recognized or available on the NHS and costs approx £6000 per year. Alex's family and friends have been fundraising for the last year to try and help with the costs so if anyone would like to sponsor me for this event it would be much appreciated.
