B really needs you help. Nicknamed Pumpkin Pie by one of his medical team when he was born, Pie has had many ups and downs in life.

Life is hard. At times it's almost impossible. Born extremely prematurely and weighing less that 700 grams, Pie is someone who is no stranger to struggle or challenge.

Defying medical experts, Pie has grown up into a young man who adores animals and model railways. He has battled life threatening infections and illnesses, but with the unconditional love from his family has overcome them all. Today he lives with several diagnoses including Autism, Intellectual Disability, Epilepsy and Psychosis. He is also extremely prone to infection.

Pie has always been cared for by his parents. Unable to attend school due to his local authority deciding his needs are now "too complex and severe for any school", Pie has a team of tutors and PA's that help him access an education tailored to his needs.

His family long to continue his care for him to stay in the family home. Soon, this may no longer be possible. Major adaptations are needed to their house to provide Pie with a safe place to receive personal care. These include a specialist waste disposal, a wet room and chair for intimate bowel care. A safe space is needed to Pie during his psychotic episodes and epileptic seizures. His parents need protecting as they have experiences violence and significant injuries, all whilst supporting their son through these traumas.

Pie has dreams like any teenager and longs for a career working with animals To make this happen, his family need your help to provide him with what most of us would consider essential care equipment. Pie deserves to feel safe and cared for like any young person should.
