Nathalene Szekelys Therapy Fund
Nathalene had a stroke when I was pregnant, this was undetected until after she was born around three months old. I noticed along with family members that Nathalene didn’t have any range and very little movement to the left side of her body. She had lots of tests done and at 6 months was diagnosed to have cerebral palsy from a stroke affecting the right side of her brain which controls the left side of her body.
I’m have raised money for Nathalene to have cimt. Thank you so much for all your donations as this means we should be able to make the payment to the CIMT centre soon. This is a constraint therapy not available on the nhs. Costing us £9585. I have since changed the amount needed to include the accomodation costs and other expenses when me and Nathalene live in Manchester for the Month in September.
This will enable Nathalene to have more use of her left arm as well as looking at her holistically (standing and weight bearing).
The treatment has been proven to enable more range and use of the affect limb (left arm) for Nathalene.
Due to the condition Nathalene has Cerebral Palsy, she will always need specialist equipment to help her have a normal life and the same opportunities as children her age with no medical condition.
