Hello my name is Oscar. I’m 4 months old and I live with my mummy, daddy and my big brother Brogan in Gainsborough.

One day my mummy and daddy noticed my head was looking a rather wierd shape, but didn’t know why, so they kept a close eye on me! Weeks later my mummy and daddy were still worrying about me and by this time they had noticed my ears were becoming misaligned and my forehead slightly forward on my right side. so,…. out came the computer and the research began! My mummy found a something called Plagiocephaly – ‘Flat Head Syndrome’ and got in touch with the ‘Steeper Clinic’ in Leeds who specialise in this as it can cause problems with hearing, vision and also the jaw when I’m bigger!

On our first trip to the Steeper Clinic they were really nice! While I was there I had my head measured and I had a white ‘stocking’ put on my head for my 3D scan. This didn’t bother me,….and mummy still thought I looked cute!

We saw my head scan on the big computer! and saw that my head was misshaping, ears misaligning and front of my forehead slightly pushing forwards and came to the conclusion I would greatly benefit by having a Starband Helmet!…The only problem is,……I’m only 4 months old and it costs a lot of money! The NHS don’t pay for this treatment and I really don’t like the sound of having any medical problems when I’m bigger!

So, I’m hoping my big smile might help me raise what I need so I can order my very own Starband!

A big thank you to the Tree of Hope for all their financial support and guidance.
