Help me walk to school
Our son Ayaan is a very gorgeous and bright boy from London.
Ayaan is 7 years old and is diagnosed with Joubert Syndrome from the age of 8 months. This is a rare genetic disorder that effects the cerebellum, an area of the brain that controls balance and co-ordination.
A recent x-ray ad also showed his hips are imbalance and can dislocate at any time.
Ayaan can only sit and bottom shuffle on his own although still requires assistance as his muscles are very weak. He cannot crawl, stand or walk and mobility is through pushing him in his wheelchair and us carrying/lifting him.
Ayaan uses signs to communicate and attempts to talk using minimal words. His speech is not very clear and requires several guesses to what he is trying to say.
Ayaan always says he wants to do everything fast and wants to help us (mum & dad) help him which breaks our hearts as we as parents are struggling to make this come true.
We are asking for donations for private intense physio therapy which is not available on the NHS. This would help him strengthen his muscles and hopefully in the near future improve his mobility or even possibly help him to be independent and walk on his own.
Every parents wants to hold their child’s hand and walk to school, take their child to the park to kick a ball or ride a bike. And every child wants to fit in and be able to do everything their friends can do.
We are more than grateful for any donations that is made. You really are helping to make our little boys life a whole lot brighter and from the bottom of our hearts, thank you. x
