Helping Charlie's head
Our son Charlie is 8.5 months old and has severe plagiocephaly(flat head syndrome) the doctors said ' should' correct itself after repositioning its has made no difference .The nhs do not fund this treatment as it is classed as cosmetic. The possible affects of not treating can be a lazy eye, ear and jaw problems in the future. A friend told us about technology in motion clinic who told us about the tree of hope charity. We had a consultation and a scan and had the syndrome diagnosed on the right side causing bossing to the forehead and a slight mis alignment to his ears. The the helmet is £1950 a lot of money but a small price to pay for Charlie to grow up with a normal shaped head. Tree of hope have agreed to pay £950 towards the cost. Anything we raise comes off the total that they give us and anytjing more then £950 goes back in to the charity .Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and all the support we have recieved.
