My friend Graham and I are going to ride two Royal Enfield Bullets to Gallipoli in time for the commemoration marking the centenary of the WW1 campaign at that location raising money for “Foot Steps for Roxy”.
We will be leaving from Andover and heading to the Channel tunnel. Once we’ve been spat out on the continent, enduring high mileage and long days in the saddle, we’ll travel through France, Belgium, Germany, Austria, The Balkans, Bulgaria and finally Turkey.
Leaving on the 17th April we will aim to be there the following week ready for the commemoration on 25th April. On completion we’ll head home through Greece, catching a ferry to Italy for the return leg of our trip. In order to keep costs down we’ll be rough camping all the way.
