Exciting New Appointments at Tree of Hope!

Tunbridge Wells-based national children’s charity Tree of Hope is delighted to announce two major appointments as it continues to build its team and provide greater support and service to many hundreds of sick and disabled children and their families.

Highly respected charity senior leader Gill Gibb has joined as Chief Executive. Gill has widespread knowledge and experience of the third sector. Her previous roles include CEO of the Canterbury Oast Trust and MD of the Charity Employees Benevolent Fund. She is Treasurer of the youth homelessness charity Centrepoint.

Gill comments “Tree of Hope is an amazing charity that helps to transform the lives of children throughout the UK and Ireland. I am looking forward enormously to leading Tree of Hope through the next stage of its development and working with both current and new families to enable them to give their children the best possible quality of life”.

Linking up with Gill at the charity in the newly created position of Fundraising Manager is Emma Bourne, who has worked extensively with children and young people in her previous roles as Development Manager at St Mary’s Special School in Bexhill and Youth Services Manager for Voluntary Action Within Kent.

Tree of Hope Chairman Kevin Werry says “My fellow trustees and I are excited to welcome Gill and Emma to Tree of Hope. These appointments demonstrate the Charity’s commitment to strengthening the partnerships we have with our families and supporters, and to delivering the best possible outcomes for every child we support”.

Tree of Hope is passionate about improving the health and wellbeing of sick and disabled children by assisting them to receive medical surgery, treatment, therapies and equipment which would not otherwise be available to them.
