Push yourself further in 2023!
This year, we’re proud to be involved in the Ultra Challenge Series – the UK’s number 1 mass participation endurance event series! With tough ‘continuous’ 100 km challenges, a 2 day ‘Daylight’ 100 km option with camping at half way, testing 50 km Half & 25 km Quarter distance challenges, and a few 10K taster events–there’s an Ultra Challenge for everyone to push themselves further!
With 15 events to choose from ranging from costal paths, lakesides, well-trodden footpaths & some tough hills there really no excuse not to join an Ultra Challenge for 2023!
Your entry includes a range of free food & drink at regular rest stops, and support from medics, marshals and massage teams. As you cross the finish line, you’ll get a glass of fizz, t-shirt, and a special medal to celebrate your achievement. Sign up as an individual or with a team,& commit to fundraise for us!
We would be delighted if you were to sign up and support us on one of the challenge events, as your fundraising would mean so much to us. We will provide you with a fundraising pack and all the support that you need in reaching your target as you approach the big challenge!

Easter 50 Challenge – 1st April
Sign up to the 50km or 25km looped route through, staring from base camp in Windsor, leading into the Great Park with wonderful views of the historic Windsor Castle on to Runnymede, along the Thames Path, and takes in some wonderful countryside. Walk, jog or run as an individual or a team, with full support and hospitality all the way
Isle of Wight Challenge – 29th – 30th April
Nothing beats a coastal path on fresh spring day, and there is no need to look any further as the Isle of Wight Challenge offers all of this in its glory. The route takes you along the spectacular southern cliffs, past the iconic Needles, and up to historic Cowes at the half way stop. For Full Island challengers it’s on to historic Ventnor, and back to base camp in Chale after an epic 106km journey. Choose from 106km, 50km or 25km distance options!
Jurassic Coast Challenge – 13th – 14th May
The hugely popular Jurassic Coast Challenge offers coastal path, steep hills and challenging beaches. The route will take you through the spectacular World Heritage coastline, with a start in Corfe Castle, then heading down to Swanage, and along through Lulworth Cove, past Durdle Door, with ups & downs to Weymouth at half way
London 2 Brighton Challenge – 27th – 28th May
Back for the bank holiday weekend, the iconic London 2 Brighton Challenge is a staple in the Ultra Challenge calendar–.Walk, jog or run capital to coast, as an individual or a team! It’s a Richmond start, and a route which takes in the North Downs, wonderful countryside, the South Downs and a finish at Brighton Racecourse. With the full 100km Challenge, a 2 day daylight option with camping, and half & quarter distance options also–there’s a challenge for everyone!
Lake District Challenge – 10th – 11th June
Join us on the Lake District Challenge and take on England’s finest countryside at your pace. Our wonderful route takes you over some tough hills, Garburn Pass, into Ambleside, through our half way point by the idyllic Lake Windermere, into some forests, and nature reserves all with some stunning views, all based around Kendal basecamp, where you will get full support & hospitality, optional camping / hostel, and with half & quarter distance options–there’s a Lake District Challenge for everyone!
Cotswold Way Challenge – 24th – 25th June
The Cotswold Way offers beautiful views and tough hills. The route takes you through quintessential English villages and well-trodden footpaths & trails. Base-camp in Cirencester is the hub for a full challenge looped route through the heart of the Cotswolds. Choose from the full challenge, a half challenge, or even a quarter distance option. Sign up as an individual or a team, with full support and hospitality all the way
Peak District Challenge – 8th – 9th July
A wonderful, but tough & varied figure of 8 route through Derbyshire’s finest scenery, serves up the best of the Peak District. With the trail leading you through the Peak District National Park to comforting Bakewell basecamp. You’ll get full support all the way, and with half, quarter & 10 mile distance options also which pass Chatsworth House
North Downs 50 Challenge – 22nd July
Setting out from the Guilford basecamp, and a looped 50km route which takes in some of the best of the Surrey hills, the North Downs Way, and the surrounding countryside. The North Downs 50 is not one to miss. You’ll get full support & hospitality, and with 25 km options also available, and University style accommodation at basecamp as a bookable extra
South West Coast 50 Challenge – 5th August
The stunning ‘South West’ challenge beginnings in the shadow of the impressive Dunster Castle basecamp, while the start of the route commences at Minehead leading into the famous 630 mile Coastal Path. Pick and choose from either a 50k or 25 km option also, plus a family friendly 10K event–along with camping options & festival style hospitality at basecamp across the weekend
South Coast Challenge – 2nd – 3rd September
South Downs National Park is a superb backdrop so why not join us as 2000 participants trek across the beautiful south coast, the route taking you up Beachy Head, over the magnificent Seven Sisters, and along the famous South Downs Way National Trail through Brighton and on to Arundel. Walk, jog, or run 100k, 50k or 25k in September
Thames Bridge Trek – 9th September
Walkers and trek across the Capital taking in unrivalled views of the skyline, and historic landmarks. Setting out from the Putney Bridge start and head East towards the City, zig-zagging over 16 historic bridges–each with its own fascinating story–with a rest stop near Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens, before reaching the spectacular Tower Bridge and completing your challenge at Southwark Park, it’s a party style finish line and is great way to enjoy a weekend in London.
Thames Path Challenge – 9th – 10th September
The famous & ever popular Thames Path Challenge provides a wonderful route along England’s greatest river. The route heads upstream to Henley along the famous Towpath. It’s through Richmond, Hampton Court, Runnymede, and Windsor, with some wonderful scenery to a riverside finish line. Walk, jog or run 100km, 50km & 25km options also available–plus the separate 25km ‘Thames Bridges Trek’ & ‘The Moonlight 10 Walk’ through Central London as part of the weekend ‘festival’
Chiltern 50 Challenge – 23rd September
Our end of season Chiltern Challenge covers some of the best of the Chilterns countryside & is a brilliant way to either end your Ultra Challenge season with a bang, or a great challenge to start your Ultra Challenge journey. Walk, jog or run a 50k, 25k or 10k loop as an individual or a team, with full support and hospitality all the way. With a start & finish at basecamp in Henley, there’s also a Saturday night celebration BBQ, bar & entertainment, with extensive on-site camping & parking options
