The Ultimate Pop Up | Thursday 20th June | 6.30pm | Hush Heath

This June, Tree of Hope brings to you one of the most exciting events in the Kent foodie calendar this year!

As a part of the Dine and Donate campaign, we are hosting The Ultimate Pop Up – a pop up fundraising dinner that features six of Kent’s best chef’s all cooking an exclusive six course meal for a number of lucky diners in the beautiful surroundings of the Hush Heath Estate.

Please be aware that unfortunately, due to the nature of this event we are unable to cater for all dietary requirements.  Please do send an email to for any allergies and we will do our best to accommodate, however all food will be prepared in the same kitchen.


Rob Taylor – The Compasses Inn, Crundale

Kentish “born and bred” Robert Taylor runs the Compasses Inn, Crundale on the rural outskirts of Canterbury. Having recently been awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand, his cooking has been described as “warming hug”. Making the most of his surroundings and the outstanding produce that Kent has to offer Rob lets the produce shine on the plate.

Scott Goss. The Ultimate Pop Up

Scott Goss – Verdigris

First on the line-up is Verdigris Head Chef, Scott Goss, who focuses his menus on British flavours using the best Kentish ingredients. Growing up in the Garden of England, Scott has previously put his culinary skills into action at the Michelin recommended, I’ll Be Mother Group test kitchen, The Twenty Six. In 2018, Scott represented the South East on BBC show, The Great British Menu, putting forward his dishes for the NHS Unsung Hero’s Banquet!

We’re very excited to have Scott joining us at The Ultimate Pop Up, treating diners to some of the very best food in the region.

Will Devlin. The Small Holding. The Ultimate Pop Up

Will Devlin – The Small Holding 

Joining us next at The Ultimate Pop Up, is Kent Chef of the Year winner, Will Devlin! Just over a year ago Will, Brother Matt and their team launched new restaurant The Small Holding in Kilndown a destination that

 has shot to the top of every foodies must visit list! With an acre of land surrounding the pub, Will and his team grows his own produce and rears their own animals allowing them to harvest ingredients in their prime.

Focusing on classic techniques and a modern approach, diners will be in for a treat experiencing Will’s cooking who brings innovative flavours harnessed from farm fresh ingredients.


Bobby Brown

Chef, Bobby Brown, former Head Chef at The Kentish Hare, will be joining The Ultimate Pop Up line up alongside Will Devlin & Scott Goss! After training at Thanet College by some of the best tutors in the country, Bobby went on to join the Tanner Brothers at The Kentish Hare and has also featured on BBC’s MasterChef: The Professionals to produce a knockout meal in this exceptional culinary competition.

Jamie Tandor - Bicycle Bakery

Jamie Tandoh – The Bicycle Bakery 

Also joining us on the evening is Jamie Tandoh of Tunbridge Wells favourite, The Bicycle Bakery! Jamie and his team uses a mix of traditional and modern techniques at the bakery to create beautiful and exquisite patisserie and breads. “I love the alchemy behind it, the pleasure in taking ingredients and transforming them is so interesting. The wonder never stops.” Jamie’s team bake goods for some of the regions favourite spots including Verdigris, The Kentish Hare and The Raspberry Rooms!

Fabio Vinciguerra – Hush Heath

Fabio, originally born in Cagliaria, Sardinia, is inspired by his southern Italian parents and their loves and respect for quality and tradition. After a whole heap of experience at traditional Italian restaurants and beyond, Fabio is now the Executive head chef for Hush Heath Hospitality including their restaurants The Tickled Trout and The Goudhurst Inn – a Top 30 place to dine & stay by The Times.


Robert MarshallChef Rob Marshall

Rob was chef-proprietor of The Michelin listed Wheelwrights Arms in Matfield for 6 years and has previously been chef at The Warren. Old recipes, growing and gathering ingredients are of massive fascination, and his food is therefore mostly concerned with seasonality and locality.
