DO IT FOR DYLAN!!

My son dylan is a gorgeous bright little boy whom has not had the easiest of starts in life. Dylan was born 11 weeks premature and suffered a bleed to the brain, this brain damage left to him being diagnosed with cerebral palsy (spastic quadriplegia). The result of this diagnosis has meant dylan is in a wheelchair with very limited movement and not a very positive outlook in terms of independence. Unfortunately selective dorsal rhizotomy is a procedure that dylan is not eligible for in the UK although we have been fortunate enough to be accepted for it in the USA!. This surgery is a spinal procedure that will remove all Dylans spasticity and with the correct therapy post op allow him to walk those steps we have always longed for! Now we need everyone's help to get him there! Xxx

Dylan has now undergone the sdr surgery (november 2015) and is working really hard with physiotherapists and his occupational therapist to get on his feet! So all remaining money that was fundraised by family and friends will be used for continued physiotherapy, occupational therapies and any equipment, aids and any home adaptions that he may need in the future to help with his cerebral palsy!.

Should we exceed the target amount (or if we do not raise enough funds, or if they cannot be used for any other reason) the funds raised will go to the general funds of tree of hope to assist other sick children.
