Daniel Rutherford
My son Daniel has complex medical conditions they are very rare conditions bi coronal crainosynostosis and a genectic condition muenke syndrome. Daniel has been in and out of hospitals since he was 5 months old he has had many major skull surgerys aswell as many procedures done and he has took it in his stride with a smile always on his face. As parents seeing your child go through all these things is not easy there are times when you wonder are you doing the right thing and how can you improve the way he lives his life.
Daniel has sensory processing disorder and he likes to have deep pressure so he can regulate his feelings and to feel secure in the world around him. i'm fundraising to be able to provide Daniel with the right sensory equipment and treatment to be able to maximise his quality of life and to achieve optimal levels of functional independence wherever possible.
Abit about sensory processing disorder
children with sensory processing issues have trouble organizing information the brain receives from the senses the five traditional ones are sight , smell , hearing , taste and touch. But there are actually two other senses these sixth and seventh sense control body awareness (proprioception ) and balance and spatial orientation ( the vestibular senses).
any donations no matter how small would be greatly appreciated to be able to get Daniel the sensory equipment he needs to help him with his every day struggles thank you in advance .
These are some of the things daniel needs and why we are raising the money to be able to help him reach his full potential
