Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am taking part in the Wentwood50 Goshawk Challenge, it is a 50km mountain bike event and hoping to raise some money for a young lad called Brandon who has Celebral Palsy.
Brandon was born 10 weeks premature and as a result has Cerebral Palsy (Brain damage) this effects Brandon physically and he can not walk unaided. Brandon has never let his disability get in the way of him having fun and he hopes in the future to go scuba diving! He is definitely a cheeky little dude!
Brandon's wish (in his own words) is to be able to walk across his living room on his own!
In December 2011 Brandon had an operation in America called Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR) This operation was to reduce the spasticity in his legs, giving him the best possible chance at an independent life and the hope of walking unaided. He has achieved a lot since his SDR. He was previously in a wheelchair and now, through a lot of hard work and physio, can walk using a frame and a short distance using crutches.
I am doing this to raise money to go towards Brandon's much needed post op therepy. Any amount you can donate would be a big help to make Brandon's wish to walk come true!
Also, I'm very likely to get very muddy and who doesn't like to see someone covered in mud?!
