Climbing Kilimanjaro for Archie

In October 2012, myself and an intrepid group of adventurers will set out to climb the World’s highest freestanding mountain, and Africa’s highest peak. At 5895m Kilimanjaro’s Uhuru Peak stands well and truly above everything else in Africa and is our destination at the end of a 7 day climb.

Not only is the climb hugely challenging due to the altitude, terrain and arctic temperatures above 16400ft, but the threat of acute altitude sickness is real and we have to ensure that our whole team is in great shape to complete the challenge.

We hope that our challenge will inspire you to support me and in turn do something hugely meaningful for one very special lad – Archie
