Our Journey - "Charlie Boy" Aged 8
Charlie loves to play basketball, football, tennis or anything that involves a ball. He is my amazing 8 year old boy who is a conscientious and caring boy. Charlie loves to learn and tries so hard to please others and he always gives his best with his schoolwork.
However, he struggles with severe anxiety, low self esteem and the world around him is a very overwhelming place. Charlie needs daily support with tasks that other children his age can do. He is going through an ASD (Autism) diagnosis but this is a very long process.
Therefore, he is in need of support from services to help him develop his emotional, social, behavioural and communication skills as soon as possible. He is in need of a further assessment which will help determine how best to support his needs and lifelong development however the current waiting list on the NHS is over 12 months.
The assessment would hugely benefit Charlie as it would allow him access to essential services which he so desperately needs to be able to understand the world.
The money we raise will initially pay for Charlie to have this very much needed assessment sooner than the 12 month wait and then further money raised will pay for ongoing support, therapy and resources that would benefit Charlie's journey.
We THANK YOU for your support to help our boy grow, develop and shine like the star he is.
