Family need £50,000

The family of a blind seven-year-old from Cambridge are hoping to help Tree of Hope raise £50,000 to pay for treatment in China that could restore his sight.

Marcus Molloy, 7, was born blind, but this was not discovered until he was three-and-a-half months old.

Once Marcus was diagnosed tests revealed that he did not produce a vital growth hormone, and since then he has needed a hormone injection once a night to maintain his growth.

And now his mum is leading a campaign to raise enough money to send Marcus to China for treatment that could potentially change his life.
