Bertie's Battle
Bertie was born on Valentines day 2014. Unfortunately during his labour my uterus ruptured which meant Bertie was without oxygen for approximately 21 minutes. He was diagnosed with Hypoxic-Ischemic Encephalopathy grade III which has led him to have no swallow reflex, dystonia, visual and hearing impairment and cerebral palsy. He is fed 100% via a tube and requires 24 hour care. However he is generally a very happy baby who loves cuddles and his big sister Willow.Â
We wish to take him to panama for Stem Cell Therapy as it is not currently available in the UK.  In order for the stem cells to have the greatest success,  a course of specialist  intensive therapy is advised for which we are also trying to raise the funds.Â
Thank you for taking time to read our story

Should we exceed the target amount (or if we do not raise enough funds, or if they cannot be used for any other reason) the funds raised will go to the general funds of Tree of Hope to assist other sick children.
