This is A.J he has Cornelia De Lange syndrome. He is almost 3 but the size of a 1 year old. He can not walk and not sure if he will ever walk.. we use Makaton signing to comunicate as he does not talk (yet).
We are trying to raise money to get A.J a very special stander.
The stander is special as it has wheels on it, which can be used to move around. So it can be used around the house as well as out and about.
Not only does it help him to get around the house but strenghens his leg muscle and hips. He may never walk but this will give him a chance.
The Rabbit can be used when he goes to pre-school so he can keep up with all the other children.
We have a FB page if you want to see updates and ask more info.
Cdls ( Cornelia De Lange syndrome) is a rare Syndrome and not a lot of people know anything about the syndrome including local doctors..
There are four main features in this syndrome. Children with CdLS are small at birth and remain small compared to children of the same age. They are all slow learners but this varies from mild to severe. Most children have limb abnormalities which range from extremely small hands to complete absence of forearms. The most striking feature of the syndrome is that all the children are alike, like brothers and sisters.
Please help us raise £1400 for tree of hope to help A.J Get his Rabbit stander. Evey £ helps.
Thank you for you time......
Should we exceed the target (or we dont raise enough funds, or if they cannot be used for any other reason) the funds raised will go to the general funds of Tree of Hope to assist other sick children..
