I am 4 years old and I have Cerebral Palsy Diplegia which affects my legs and is caused by slight damage to the brain where the signals do not go from the brain to the muscles in my legs.</span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="color: #ff00ff;">I can't walk without aid and therefore have a Kaye Walker to help me get around. I walk very high up on my toes and can't get my heels to the floor so I wear splints to help me do this.</span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="color: #ff00ff;">My Mummy and Daddy have been made aware of an operation in America at&nbsp;<a style="outline-width: 0px; outline-style: initial; outline-color: initial; font-size: 12px; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: transparent; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; color: #0076bc; line-height: 1.5em; text-decoration: none; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; padding: 0px; margin: 0px; border: 0px initial initial;" href="http://www.stlouischildrens.org/content/">St Louis Hospital</a>&nbsp;in Missouri where Dr. Park performs an operation called&nbsp;<a style="outline-width: 0px; outline-style: initial; outline-color: initial; font-size: 12px; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: transparent; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; color: #0076bc; line-height: 1.5em; text-decoration: none; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; padding: 0px; margin: 0px; border: 0px initial initial;" href="http://www.stlouischildrens.org/content/medservices/AboutSelectiveDorsalRhizotomy.htm">Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR)</a>. He has performed this operation on over 2000 patients with 100 % success rate. The operation, in simple terms&nbsp;cuts the dead nerve endings away from the spine to allow the ones that do work to perform more effectively this will improve my posture and will enable me to get my feet flat to the floor which could help me walk without aid.</span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="color: #ff00ff;">This operation is not available to me in the UK as the government and NHS do not fund this. Our goal is to raise enough money to get me, my mummy and daddy to America to have this operation.
