Making Millie Mobile

Hi everyone,

My name is Amélie but my friends and family call me Millie.

I was born very early at 29 weeks and was diagnosed with cerebral palsy a few weeks ago. Due to my prematurity, I also have chronic lung disease too which has caused me to be in and out if hospital a lot over the last few years.

My mummy and daddy were concerned because I was unable to walk at 2.5 years old like the rest of my friends, so the doctor told them I had cerebral palsy. I’m now 6 and half years old, and I can walk around so much easier because of all the therapy People have kindly donated money for already.

There are lots of things that can help me, such as intensive physiotherapy courses, operations on my spine hydrotherapy ( and swimming ) and even horse riding.

The problem is that unfortunately these things cost lots and lots of money and are not covered by the governments budget.

Please would you help me raise some money? any amount will help me achieve my dream to walk unaided and feel less mobility impaired

I have a very lovely older sister Olivia who is always very kind and loving but sometimes she misses out on time with mummy and daddy because they are quite often busy helping me do my daily exercises. Even though they try their best to keep things equal, I do need more help to do things than Olivia and I know they feel bad about it.

I hope to get the physiotherapy or operations I need so my sister can have some quality time with mummy and daddy.
