Lunchtime concert

Gabriel Masih-Gill, who has cerebral palsy and relies on a wheelchair, is hoping to undergo a life-changing operation that will help him walk unaided for the first time.

New College’s Wykeham Singers held a lunchtime concert at their college chapel earlier this month to support the campaign.

The concert, organised by Gabriel’s grandmother Marilyn Cullen, who works at the college, raised £357.74.

Singer and New College employee Nigel Ewers, 50, from North Oxford, said: “I hope it has inspired others to either raise money or just to think about others who are less fortunate.

“It was very moving and Gabriel really enjoyed it.”
