Isaac's Orthotic Helmet Support

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

*UPDATE* - Isaac now has his helmet and we are looking forward to seeing an improvement over the coming weeks. We are still raising money so his treatment can continue. Anything left after the balance has been paid will go straight to Tree of Hope, this will allow them to be as kind to other families as they have been to us. We would all like to thank you for your donations so far. Please keep giving anything you can.

As most of you may know Isaac has plagiocephally (flat head syndrome).

The NHS deem treatment of this to be cosmetic so they do not support treatment for the condition.

Isaac's plagiocephally has caused his jaw to be move forward one side, his forehead and the top of his head is raised on one side along with the usual flat part on the side/back of his head. His ears and eyes are also misaligned.

If this is not fixed it may cause many future problems for Isaac such as:

. Learning difficulties

. Muscle problems

. Speech problems

. Unable to get properly fitted glasses

. Inability to wear helmets

. Bullying due to the odd shape of his head.

The orthotic helmet will gently apply pressure to the skull to remould it, and also allow his head to grow into a normal shape correcting all issues.

The treatment cost is £1950!

The Tree of Hope charity have been wonderful in assisting us with help towards a portion of the cost but there is still some to go. We would also like to raise more than the target amount as all extra funds can go back to Tree of Hope for them to help other children with the same conditions, as well as a number of other conditions that the NHS do not offer treatment for.  We are so grateful for all of the donations so far. Please give anything you can.
