Finley's chair fund

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

At 19 weeks old Finley was diagnosed with two rare syndromes potocki lupski syndrome and Charcot Marie tooth disease.  This means many different things for Finley but for the most part right now, his biggest hurdle is his physical needs.  Because of his syndromes he is very weak in all areas of his body, predominantly on his left side. He has struggled throughout his almost six years to achieve most things you and I take for granted.  Finley isn't a quitter though and has never let his physical needs stand in the way of something he wants to achieve, he is extremely determined and always finds a way to do things, however unconventional they are! This does mean however, that Finley spends his time exhausted, he can walk short distances now with the assistance of splints but these are painful and he tires easily so shuffles or knee walks his way around, try shuffling for five minutes and see how tired it makes you feel, I don't know how he does it! But he's desperate to keep up he wants to get up and run with his peers and play like any typical 5 year old.  He is such a happy boy and very willing so we feel with the addition of the right apparatus, his life will be transformed and he won't have to spend his days feeling so exhausted and drained, it will give him the chance to keep up with his peers and most importantly it will be his safety net, and sanctuary.

With the funds that have been raised we have been able to fund the cost of Finley's wheelchair with a little left in the kitty to make our garden wheelchair friendly for Finley.   We thank each and everyone of you for your continued support and help to get us to the point we're at today! THANK YOU!

7.5% of all donations to Tree of Hope in relation to this appeal will be allocated to the general charitable purposes of Tree of Hope to cover our core operating costs.
