Can you support us?

Donate to Tree of Hope today so that we can continue to help children

Callum is aged 14 and lives in Eastbourne with his twin brother, younger brother and sister.

Callum has cerebral palsy and severe autism. His cerebral palsy has caused hemiplegia on the right side of his body which has become progressively worse over recent years causing his hand and arm to stiffen and lose function.

Fortunately the Tree of Hope Children’s Charity has stepped in to fund the Arm Tutor and the Hand Tutor, both brand new products created at the cutting edge of technology, enabling Callum to work towards regaining function in his arm and hand. This will be the first time the system is used in the UK although it is widely used in Israel and in America. One of the occupational therapists currently using the system stated, For someone who is motivated and is able to utilise the device daily, I feel it would help to improve motion and coordination.

Callum enjoys working with his hands and loves cooking. Having this lovely dishwasher is a real bonus for us, allowing Callum to enjoy his cooking and cleaning up afterwards! This is a real gift for us. A big thank you to The Tree of Hope Children’s Charity and Bosch.

Callum’s Mum

We are very grateful for the help of the Tree of Hope Children’s Charity. It feels like a huge burden has been lifted from my family now with your generous financial help. I had felt that either I would be incurring a long term debt, obviously affecting the day to day life of all of my four children or passing up a fantastic chance to help Callum. I can’t convey how much happiness and relief you have given us all.

Many thanks,

Loretta and Callum, Joel, Maddie and Sam
